Volunteer and Friend

I meet Clifford over 15 years ago, when he came to volunteer at NCH Hospital. Eventually, I was fortunate enough to have him Volunteer in my department and work with me in Cat Scan and work he did! He pushed stretchers and wheelchairs all morning for four hours all with a smile on his face and a kind word for the patient. Always making sure they had a warm blanket. He never complained and asked what more he could do. He couldnt wait to get back to volunteering even after he had a heart attack. Believe me, it was hard to keep him on just wheelchair duty. This was a man in his 80s. Everyone at the hospital knew and loved Cliff. I knew Cliff as my friend inside and outside of the hospital. He was truly one f a kind.
