Zack S. Hastings

Zack S. Hastings, age 38, of Bear, formerly of Rising Sun, MD, passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2026, after a long battle with diabetes.

Zack attended AI duPont High School. He enjoyed music and video games.

Zack was preceded in death by his grandmother, Kay Gellien; uncle, Scott Gellien and uncles, Russell Hastings and Jim Jones.

Zack is survived by his mother, Sharon Hastings; father, Monty Hastings (Hollie); brother, Monty Hastings Jr; daughter, Elizabeth “Lizzie” Hastings and her mother, Caitlin; son, Noah Shane Hastings and his mother, Malina; aunt, Diane Jones; his cat, Baxter and other extended family.

Funeral services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Zack’s memory may be made to the SPCA or Faithful Friends.
