Vickie Lyn Hill from Wilmington, Delaware passed away peacefully on January 31, 2026, leaving behind a family who loved her beyond words and a life filled with kindness, laughter, and devotion to others.
She was the beloved mother of Angela Prince and Edward Hill Jr., a cherished mother-in-law to Ralph Prince and Autumn Divirgilio, and the proud, joyful grandmother of Azlynn Prince, Natalie Prince, Skylynn Hill, Edward Hill, Shyleigh Hill, and Eriella Hill. Vickie was also the guardian of her adored niece Brielle Dolina. Being “Mom Mom” was her greatest title and her favorite role in life. Her grandchildren were the light of her world, and she poured her heart into every moment spent with them—crafting, laughing, and creating memories they will carry forever.
Vickie worked for many years as a manager at Lanxide Corporation while pursuing her dream of nursing at Delaware Technical and Community College. She believed in hard work, perseverance, and caring for others, values she lived out every day.
She found joy in the simple luxuries of life; being near the water, watching dolphins, strolling through farmers markets, and discovering treasures while thrifting. Her hands were rarely still; she loved to crochet, create diamond art, and make special crafts with her grandchildren. Holidays at her home were filled with warmth, good food, and the feeling that everyone was welcome and deeply loved.
Vickie gave all her energy to those around her. She was a helper, a listener, a comforter, and the heart of her family. Her love was steady and unconditional, and her home was a place where people felt safe, fed, and seen.
Though her family’s hearts are heavy, they take comfort in knowing her love will remain woven through their lives—in every handmade blanket, every holiday gathering, every laugh shared by the water.
Vickie was preceded in death by her husband Edward Hill, mother Lucille Brown, brother Robert Brown III, and sister Nancy Dolina. She is survived by her father Robert Brown Jr, sister Tammy Pigeon, and two brothers Keith Brown and Wayne Scott Brown. She had many nieces and nephews she adored.
Vickie will be forever missed and forever loved.
