Thomas P. Brittingham

Thomas P. " T T" Brittingham, age 67, of Newark, formerly of Browntown Wilmington, passed away on October 17, 2025 surrounded by his loving family.

Tom worked at Bobs Affordable Carpets for 35 years. He served in the National Guard for 15 years (Sgt. - Maintenance 262) and attended St. Hedwigs Church.

Tom loved cars and enjoyed working on old cars. He used to take his kids to race RC cars, planes, and boats creating fond memories they still enjoy with their own children. He always enjoyed hanging out with his family and friends, celebrating holidays, events, or just a good weather day. Tom’s grandkids were his world. He was their superhero - always there to the rescue, to dry a tear, or to be at every SINGLE event that they had. He was the best Pop in the world, and he will be missed every single day.

Tom is preceded in death by his parents, Sophie and Harlen Brittingham; son, Michael Brittingham; brothers, Michael Brittingham and Robert "Bob" Brittingham; sister, Rachel Brittingham and grandson, Conner “Beet” Helm.

Survivors include his partner of 18 years, Josette; sons, Dustin Brittingham, Cagney Brittingham, Thomas Harlen, and Jeffery Helm; daughters, Tina Ramsey, Autumn (Matt) and Jessica Clark; sister, Pat Seery (Rick); 13 grandchildren and 1 great grand child.

Funeral Services will be held at 5:00 PM on Friday, October 24, 2025 at Nichols - Gilmore Funeral Home, 212 East Justis Street Newport, DE 19804, where visitation will begin at 4:00 PM.
