Theresa Ann Merritt

Theresa Ann Merritt Jr., age 62, of Wilmington, passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2025.

Teri was raised in Union Park Gardens on the West side of Wilmington and was the youngest of 5. She worked at Power Windows and Siding and retired after 22 years and then recently was employed at Olympics Sub Shop for 5 years and before that she worked at Delta Restaurant for 8 years; she was loved by EVERY customer she serviced. Her aura lit up any room she walked in. She loved going to BBQs for burnt hotdogs. She couldn’t live without her morning coffee and cigarette and loved her snacks. Teri enjoyed fishing, watching Westerns, coloring, dancing, baking, playing spades, and going to Rehoboth Beach. Above all else she loved spending time with her family.

Teri is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Theresa; her daughter Angel, and her sister, Gina.

Survivors include her daughters, Theresa (Leslie), Tabitha (Zori), Willeia, Danielle and Atiyya; brothers, Ron, Bob and John; and grandchildren, Jamaih, Grant, Lillyana, Leila, Rajuanae and Journey.
