Susan Lorraine Johnson

Ms. Susan Lorraine Johnson, 50 years old, from Bear, DE, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 17, 2024. Susan passed peacefully at her home due to ongoing complications from diabetes and cardiovascular disease.

A Summa Cum Laude graduate, with a Bachelor of Science degree from Wilmington University in 1997, Susan worked as a Registered Nurse at St. Francis Hospital, Kent General Hospital and most recently at the Meadow Wood Behavioral Health Hospital in New Castle, DE. Enthusiastic, dependable, hardworking and experienced, Susan had a passion to help her patients through their various struggles, not letting her own health issues prevent her from giving passionate care.

Susan was born on April 8, 1974 at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford, Delaware. She loved gymnastics, swimming, Blue Rocks baseball, University of Delaware football, spending time with her cats and taking care of her late parents.

Susan is survived by her brother Michael Lee Johnson, of Kingsport Tennessee, and his children Michael, Heather and Nathan. She is preceded in death by her parents Melvyn and Sachiko "Angie" Johnson.
