Susan Desmarais

Susan Desmarais, age 70, of Wilmington, formerly of Indianapolis, passed away on Monday, December 29, 2025.

Sue worked as a waitress and bartender. She was a member of West End Rod and Gun Club. Sue loved football and especially loved playing fantasy football. Her team was the Dallas Cowboys and she wouldn’t miss a game. Sue also loved to play Texas Hold 'Em with the people at West End and would often find herself in the winners circle.

Sue grew up in a large family and enjoyed the beach and traveling to Florida. She had a wonderful personality and was loved by everyone. 

Survivors include her husband of 14 years, Joseph Desmarais; daughters, Amy, Shannon, Dawn, Christina and Jillian; sister, Sheryl; brothers, Mark and Mike; grandchildren, Melissa, Haley, Phillip, Christina, Rebecca and Leroy; and great grandchildren, Avalee and Joseph.

A celebration of life will be held from 6pm – 9pm on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at the West End Rod and Gun, 812 S. Franklin Street Wilmington, DE 19805.
