Stephen R Gasidlo, born and raised in Detroit’s Delray neighborhood, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2025. He graduated in 1958 from Mount Carmel High School in Wyandotte, proudly served in the United States Air Force, and after many years of dedicated service, he retired from Ameritech (formally Michigan Bell). Stephen enjoyed attending U of M games and was a devoted longtime member of the Carbon Athletic Club, where he enjoyed spending time with his brother and friends playing Euchre and watching U of M games.
His parents and one brother Joseph, preceded him in death. Surviving is his wife, Carolyn; devoted daughter, Christine (Stephen) Sowinski, son; David Gasidlo, granddaughters, Skye Gasidlo, Starr Gasidlo, and Sophie Sowinski.
A Memorial Service with Military Honors will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday, September 25, 2025 at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road Bear, DE 19701
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Carbon Athletic Club at a later date.
