Stephen R. Gasidlo

Stephen R Gasidlo, born April 18, 1940, and raised in Detroit’s Delray neighborhood, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He graduated in 1958 from Our Lady of Mount Carmel High School in Wyandotte, proudly served in the United States Air Force, and after many years of dedicated service, he retired from Ameritech (formally Michigan Bell). Stephen enjoyed attending U of M games (Section 18 Row 34 Seat 6) and was a devoted longtime member of the Carbon Athletic Club, where he enjoyed spending time with his brother and friends playing Euchre and watching U of M games. His parents Helen (Kadish) Gasidlo, Stephen Gasidlo, and one brother Joseph, preceded him in death. Surviving is his wife, Carolyn; devoted daughter, Christine (Stephen) Sowinski, son; David Gasidlo, granddaughters, Skye Gasidlo, Starr Gasidlo, and Sophie Sowinski.

A Memorial Service was held with Military Honors on Thursday, September 25, 2025 at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road Bear, DE 19701

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Carbon Athletic Club.
