Sofia Guadarrama Gutierrez

Sofía Guadarrama Gutiérrez, nacida en México de sus padres Heleodoro Guadarrama y María Gutiérrez, vivió una vida definida por la fe, la bondad y una devoción inquebrantable hacia su familia. Trabajó por 25 años en la limpieza y también, siendo reconocida por su fuerte ética de trabajo, su humildad y el cuidado que ponía en todo lo que hacía.

Su fe guió cada etapa de su vida. Tenía una profunda devoción a la Virgen de Guadalupe y asistía fielmente a los servicios en Holy Angels Church, donde encontraba consuelo, fortaleza y comunidad.

Sofía era conocida por su carácter tranquilo y su espíritu tierno. Nunca levantaba la voz y rara vez mostraba cuando algo la molestaba, eligiendo siempre actuar con paciencia y gracia. Expresaba su amor a través de gestos considerados, regalos y las comidas que preparaba con tanto cariño. Era ampliamente conocida como una excelente cocinera que encontraba alegría en alimentar a los demás y reunir a la familia alrededor de la mesa.

Disfrutaba de las cosas sencillas de la vida: pasar horas de compras, jugar dominó rodeada de su familia y le encantaban las plantas y sus flores favoritas eran las orquídeas . Sobre todo, fue una madre y abuela amorosa y atenta que brindó el mismo amor a cada uno de sus nietos. Su vida estuvo llena de actos de bondad, y fue un consuelo y una presencia cálida para todos los que la conocieron.

Sofía supero el fallecimiento de su esposo, Félix Reyes Álvarez, y de sus hijos Mario y Ángel.

Le sobreviven sus hijos Erasmo, Carmen, Araceli, Edith y Anahí, junto con sus queridos nietos: José, Félix, Guadalupe, Mariana, Citlaly, Jonathan, Elizabeth, Jatziri, Mayte, Emmanuel, Magaly, Jennifer, Roxana, Jessica, Aaron y Vanessa.

Sofía será recordada como una esposa amorosa, madre dedicada, abuela querida y una mujer cuya fortaleza silenciosa y generosidad tocaron innumerables vidas. Su amor, calidez y legado de cuidado permanecerán para siempre en el corazón de su familia.

Se celebrará una misa de funeral cristiano a las 19:00 horas el sábado 14 de marzo de 2026 en la Iglesia Holy Angels, 82 Possum Park Road, Newark, DE 19711, donde la visita comenzará a las 18:00. El entierro tendrá lugar en México.

Sofía Guadarrama Gutiérrez, born in Mexico to her parents Heleodoro Guadarrama and María Gutiérrez, lived a life defined by faith, kindness and unwavering devotion to her family. She worked for 25 years in housekeeping known for her strong work ethic, her humility and the care she put into everything she did.

Her faith guided every stage of her life. She had a deep devotion to the Virgin of Guadalupe and faithfully attended the services in Holy Angels Church, where she found comfort, strength and community.

Sofia was known for her calm character and tender spirit. She never raised her voice and rarely showed when something bothered her, always choosing to act with patience and grace. She expressed her love through considerate gestures, gifts and the meals she prepared with so much affection. She was widely known as an excellent cook who found joy in feeding others and gathering the family around the table.

She enjoyed the simple things in life: spending hours shopping, playing dominoes surrounded by her family and she loved plants and her favorite flowers were orchids. Above all, she was a loving and attentive mother and grandmother who gave the same love to each of her grandchildren. Her life was full of acts of kindness, and she was a comfort and a warm presence for everyone who knew her.

Sofía overcame the death of her husband, Félix Reyes Álvarez, and their children Mario and Ángel.

She is survived by her children Erasmo, Carmen, Araceli, Edith and Anahí, along with her beloved grandchildren: José, Felix, Guadalupe, Mariana, Citlaly, Jonathan, Elizabeth, Jatziri, Mayte, Emmanuel, Magaly, Jennifer, Roxana, Jessica, Aaron and Vanessa.

Sofia will be remembered as a loving wife, dedicated mother, dear grandmother and a woman whose silent strength and generosity touched countless lives. Her love, warmth and legacy of care will remain forever in the heart of her family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 7:00 PM on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Holy Angels Church, 82 Possum Park Road Newark, DE 19711, where visitation will begin at 6:00 PM. Burial will take place in Mexico.
