Sergio Perez Nova, 31, a resident of Newark, passed away on Saturday, November 22nd.
Sergio will be remembered as a good son, brother, friend, and above all, an excellent father. He deeply enjoyed spending time with his children, whom he loved until his last moment. He was a strong man, always cheerful and playful, and he loved being around people and being the life of the party. Sergio leaves behind wonderful memories and an irreplaceable void for all his loved ones.
Sergio was welcomed into eternal life by his mother, Josefina Nova.
He is survived by his fiancé, Areli Bernabe, along with his children Zoe, Sergio Jr., Lilia, and Lenny; his father, Jesus Perez; and his siblings, Juan, Jose, Isabel, and Leticia Perez.
A funeral mass will be held at 6:00 PM on Friday, November 28, 2025 at Holy Angels Church, 82 Possum Park Road Newark, DE 19711, where visitation will be held from 4 – 6 PM. Burial will take place in Mexico.

Sergio será recordado como un buen hijo, hermano, amigo y, sobre todo, un excelente padre. Disfrutaba profundamente de pasar tiempo con sus hijos, a quienes amó hasta su último momento. Era un hombre fuerte, siempre alegre y juguetón, y le encantaba estar rodeado de gente y ser el alma de la fiesta. Sergio deja recuerdos maravillosos y un vacío insustituible para todos sus seres queridos.
Sergio fue recibido en la vida eterna por su madre, Josefina Nova.
Le sobreviven su prometida, Areli Bernabe, junto con sus hijos Zoe, Sergio Jr., Lilia y Lenny; su padre, Jesús Pérez; y sus hermanos, Juan, José, Isabel y Leticia Pérez.
La misa funeral se celebrará a las 6:00 PM el viernes 28 de noviembre de 2025 en la Iglesia Holy Angels, 82 Possum Park Road, Newark, DE 19711, donde se celebrará la visita de 4:00 - 6:00 PM. El entierro tendrá lugar en México.
