Sean O. Dennis Sr.

Sean O. Dennis, Sr., age 64, of New Castle passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 9, 2025

Sean graduated from Delcastle High School in 1979. He worked for the Bricklayers Union for over 30 years as a Mason, and was known throughout the tri-state area. Sean loved watching Philly sports, including hockey, football and baseball. Even more than sports, he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Sean is preceded in death by his parents, Daniel J. Dennis and Mary Dennis (McLane) of New Castle.

Survivors include his daughters, Michelle Dierolf (Joe) and Ashley Schorah (Jon); sons, Sean Dennis Jr. (Jenn) and Danny Dennis (Kassie); 11 grandchildren, Adriana, Natalie, Nathan, Miranda, Hailey, McKenna, Hayden, Nolan, Charlotte, Cameron and Tyler; siblings, Eugene Dennis (Roseanna), Robert Dennis (Rhea), sister-mom Sally Buck (Chuck) and Marybeth Quezon (Jerry); and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family. He will always be remembered for being a loving father, a great storyteller, always trying to make everyone around him laugh, and a friend to everyone.

Services will be held at Noon on Monday, July 21, 2025, at Catalyst Community Church, 410 Denver Road Wilmington, DE 19804, where visitation will begin at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery, 6001 Kirkwood Highway Wilmington, DE 19808.
