Sandra A. Burkett age 82, of Middletown, passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2025.
Sandy graduated from Henry C. Conrad High School. She worked at Artisans’ Bank in Wilmington and enjoyed card games with her friends and spending time with her son and granddaughters. In retirement, she served others at the senior center.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Joseph Burkett, and her siblings, Jacquelyn Woods, Robert Burkett, Janet Pierce, Joseph Burkett, Herman Burkett, Milton Burkett, Charlotte Burkett, and Carolyn Bogia.
Survivors include her son, Michael Burkett; her grandchildren, Makayla Burkett and Morgan Burkett; her brother, Lee Burkett; and her sister, Ellen Sobieski.
Visitation will be at Nichols-Gilmore Funeral Home on Tuesday, 3/25 from 6-7pm and on Wednesday, 3/26 from 10:30-11 Funeral services will also be held at Nichols-Gilmore Funeral Home on Wednesday, 3/26 from 11-12.
The family would appreciate contributions in Sandy’s memory to Five Points Fire Company.
