Samuel C. Reed, age 88, of Wilmington, passed away on Thursday, July 1, 2026 at Christiana Hospital.
Sam was born in Lewes, Delaware. He was an Iron Worker for local 451 for many years. Sam was a member of the West End Rod & Gun Club and Durney Post, both in Wilmington. He enjoyed socializing with friends.
Sam was preceded in death by his sisters, Peggy, Dorothy and Lois and twin brother, Melvin.
Sam is survived by his wife of 67 years, Geraldine “Gerri” Caruso Reed and nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family.
Funeral Services will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, July 7 at NICHOLS-GILMORE FUNERAL HOME, 212 E. Justis St. Newport, DE 19804 where visitation will begin at 10:30 am. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery.
