Rosa Anna "Rose" Mariani, age 91, of Wilmington, formerly of West Virginia, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 3, 2026.
Rose worked at Montgomery Ward for many years. She was the family caregiver for some of her siblings and enjoyed cooking and having big family meals on Sunday. Rose loved animals and spending time with her family and friends.
Rose is preceded in death by her siblings, John, Lucy, Julie, Mary, Betty, Fino and "Junior".
Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Donald Hartman; son, Robert Hankins (Deborah); grandchildren, Cathy Kuhl (Lane), Michael Hankins (Jessica), Jennifer Wilhelm (Sean) and David Hankins (Sheena) and dog, Pepe.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at St. James Episcopal Church Cemetery, 2 S. Augustine Street Newport, DE 19804.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to St. James Episcopal Church, 2 S. Augustine Street Newport, DE 19804.
