Paul Malcolm Clarke, a beacon of unwavering faith and boundless love, completed his earthly journey on January 27, 2026, in Peachtree City Georgia, after a courageous battle with a brain tumor.

Born on May 23, 1937, in Bristol, Rhode Island, to Malcolm and Jeanette Thurston Clarke, Paul's zest for life and dedication to his family and faith marked every day of his 88 years. Paul’s formative years were spent at Sanford Prep High School, where he not only excelled academically and at sports, but also laid the foundation for his lifelong commitment to service. He furthered his education at Goldie Beacom College, where he studied accounting, a skill that would serve him well throughout his career. His patriotic spirit led him to serve in the United States Navy, a period of his life that instilled in him the virtues of discipline and integrity. After his military service, Paul dedicated over three decades to Monroe Systems for Business, where he combined his love for numbers with his passion for people. His colleagues remember him as a man who could brighten the dullest of days with his infectious smile and uplifting words. Paul’s career was not just a job; it was a ministry of presence.

Beyond his professional life, Paul's heart was always with his cherished family. His beloved wife Gail was his partner in every sense, sharing 67 years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support. He is survived by his sister, Marilyn Simpson; his son, John (Linda) Clarke: grandchildren, Courtney (John) Erdom, Christa (Nick) Vegliante, Christopher Clarke: and great-grandson, Luca Ray Vegliante. His Daughter, Katie (David) Sparkman: grandchildren, Cassidy (Sam) Harte, Connor (Hannah) Sparkman, Christian (Kade) Sparkman: and great-grandson, Thomas “Tommy” Kenneth Harte. Each held a special place in his life. He is also survived by his loving nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.The joy of being an uncle, grandfather, and great-grandfather was one of Paul's greatest blessings. The family gatherings, often punctuated by Paul's storytelling and wisdom, will be deeply missed by his niece, grandnieces, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Paul's Christian faith was the cornerstone of his existence. His involvement in the church went beyond mere attendance; he lived his beliefs through acts of kindness, generosity and an ever-present readiness to share a word of encouragement. His love for sales and basketball were avenues through which he connected with others, always eager to share the joy of teamwork. Paul's life was a testament to the power of positivity and the strength of the human spirit. He approached each day with the motivation of a speaker, ready to uplift and inspire.

As we bid farewell to Paul Malcolm Clarke, we celebrate a life lived with purpose and passion. His memory will continue to inspire us to live each day with kindness, to embrace our faith wholeheartedly, and to cherish the time we have with those we love. Paul's journey on earth may have ended, but his spirit remains a guiding light for all who were blessed to know him.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Red Clay Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 500 McKennan's Church Road Wilmington, DE 19808.
