Paul T. Brittingham, age 86, was born to the late Matilda M. Hetzler and Harlan C. Brittingham in Browntown, Delaware. He Departed this life on February 22, 2026.
Paul attended school in the Wilmington Public School System where he was an average pupil but excelled in playing baseball and running track. After graduation he enlisted into the Service (Airforce) where he was a Radar Tech, tracking planes. He did this for four years. After his tour was finished Paul moved to Kansas City, Kansas and began working for the Tensie Corporation as a line operator making envelopes for 60 years.
After his retirement Paul was forced to return to Delaware due to his health and longing for family. Paul lived with many relatives but ended his search when he moved in with his nephew, John Bernier and wife Marcia, who cared for him until his death. The family moved to Laurel, Delaware and Paul loved the country setting because he could help with the yard work and gardening.
Paul is survived by his brother, Donald Brittingham (Darlene); sister, Sandy Thomas (Jim); a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
A home going service for Paul T. Brittingham will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 27, 2026, at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road Bear, DE 19701.
