Michelle Mellett

Michelle M. Mellett, age 65, of New Castle, DE formerly of Vernon, CT, passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2026.

Michelle worked in banking and enjoyed doing hair. A lifelong fan of David Cassidy, Michelle found great joy in his music, bringing her special happiness when she learned that her granddaughter was named Cassidy. Although she faced deep losses early in life with the passing of her beloved parents, Michelle shared a special lifelong bond with her sister, Kim. Michelle would do anything she could for anyone even though she did not have much and struggled herself.

Michelle was preceded in death by her parents, Douglas and Margaret St. John.

She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Bowersox (George IV); son, Paul Dorian (Amanda); her sister, Kim Fortier (Ron); grandchildren, Cassidy Bowersox, George Bowersox V., Alexander Dorian and Nicholas Dorian; and niece and nephews, Michael Georgeff, Danielle Fortier and Derek Fortier.

Funeral Services will be private.

Michelle is finally home in her parent's arms where she longed for all her life.
