Margaret "Maggie" Mullin-Kobza

Margaret "Maggie" Mullin-Kobza, age 67, of Hartly, who was formerly of Clayton and Newark, passed away on Tuesday January 6, 2026.

Maggie graduated from Newark High School in 1976 and then went on an graduated from the University of Delaware. Maggie was an avid reader with an incredible green thumb for gardening. She loved horses, especially Mac, as well as her poodle Abby. She was so incredibly sincere and kind to everyone she met, with a laugh that would light up a room. 

Maggie is preceded in death by her husband of 21 years, John Mullin, who passed in 2010.

Survivors include her husband of 8 years, Richard "Rich" Kobza Jr.; sons Derrik Mullin (Jennifer Mullin) and John Mullin III (Brittany Pritchett); daughters Shannon Cruz (David Cruz), Bernadette, and Taryn; grandson Derrik Mullin Jr.; mother Barbara Higgins; and her sisters Marjorie Eldreth (Christopher Woerner) and Martha Eldreth (Luisa Torrielli).

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am on Saturday, January 17 at Holy Angels Church, 82 Possum Park Rd, Newark, DE 19711, where visitation will begin at 10 am. Burial will be private.
