Karen Elizabeth Cook passed away on May 14, 2026 at the age of 77.
Karen graduated with a Master’s Degree in Social Work from West Chester University. She spent her entire career working for the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
Karen is survived by her husband of 50 years, Vernon; daughter, Kimberly; sister, Jackie; brother Stanley; niece, Tori; and grand-niece Liliana.
Karen enjoyed many things in life, including gardening (both flowers and vegetables), playing card games and boardgames with her daughter, backyard birdwatching, reading, hiking, taking walks, and watching the Philadelphia Eagles. She was quite adept at using a sewing machine and an excellent cook. She spent many summers traveling to Vermont and Cape Cod, before retiring to Vermont.
