Age 70 of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Monday, February 19, 2007, at Heartland Hospice House after a long illness.
Joan was a 1954 graduate of Conrad HS. She bowled in senior leagues on Tuesdays & Thursdays at Pleasant Hills Lanes and enjoyed walking her dogs with a group of friends in Banning Park for many years. She liked to read, shop and loved spending time with and spoiling her grandchildren.
Joan's family wishes to offer a special thanks to Heartland Hospice, Dr.Butt and Stephanie for all their care and compassion during her illness.
Joan is survived by her husband, of 53 years, Len; children, Linda McCurdy of Townsend, DE; Bill Finerty & his wife Dale of Newark, DE; Robin "Rose" Finerty, of Wilmington, DE;Jack Croteau, of Virginia; 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and her beloved
J-Cee.
Funeral services will be 12:00 noon on Thursday, February 22, 2007, at Nichols-Gilmore Funeral Home, 212 E. Justis St., Newport, where visitation will begin on at 10:30 am. Burial will be private.
