M. Jean Russell, age 86, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 31, 2025.
Jean was a strong, spirited woman known for her blunt honesty, sharp wit, and love for life’s simple pleasures. A true beach lover, Jean cherished days spent by the ocean, soaking up the sun and enjoying her favorite seafood dishes. She also enjoyed spending her free time with her grandchildren, Jessica Smith (Rasheed Sr), Alexis Poore, and James Jr; and her great grandchildren, Amiyah, Jayda, Rasheed Jr, Bryson, and Ronald III.
She is survived by her sons, William Russell and James Russell; her daughters, Laura Poore and Karen Leight.
Jeans family will always remember her fiery spirit, honesty, and unwavering love.
As per her wishes there will be no formal services.
