Homer Preston Hayward (AKA, H. Preston Hayward)

Raised up on the eastern shore of Maryland with 3 siblings - an older brother and sister and a younger sister. Preston graduated from Somerset High School in Princess Anne, Maryland with a high school diploma; from Delaware State University in Dover, Delaware with a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry; and from Temple University in Philadelphia with a Doctorate Degree (PhD) in Physical Chemistry and Spectroscopy.
He was drafted in the US Army and served during the Vietnam War in Southeast Asia and West Germany. Preston was honorably discharged and met and married his current wife of 57 years, Cora Lee Corbett; and had one child, Tarrah. He worked for 19 years as a chemist for the DuPont Company and 28 years as a Physical Chemistry Professor at the rank of Associate Professor and researcher at Delaware State University.
Preston loved and believed in God and the Savior, Jesus Christ, and joined the Methodist Church at an early age. He became Pentecostalist while attending church with his wife and continued to serve the true and living God.
His many passions included gardening, playing tennis, do videos and pictures, and worked in this secondary business for many years. Preston loved to write and his publications included the following below, as well as a host of graduate theses and undergraduate research papers not mentioned here.

According to his wishes, there will be no formal funeral service, but the body will be cremated and the ashes returned to the earth. Those who wish to remember him remember him as a person who loved you and tried his best.
Preston believed in treating everyone with fairness and dignity.
