Francisca “Franceli” Mercado Dominguez, 53, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2026. Born on February 6, 1972, in Toluca, Mexico, she carried her roots, culture, and warmth with her wherever she went.

Franceli dedicated 26 years of her life working as a housekeeper, a role she approached with pride, strength, and determination. She retired after being diagnosed with breast cancer, facing her illness with quiet courage and resilience.

A devoted Catholic, Franceli found comfort and community in her faith, attending St. Angels and St. Rocco’s. Her life was guided by kindness, generosity, and a deep love for others.

Franceli was known for her vibrant spirit. She loved music, dancing, especially traditional Mexican polkas, and cooking, often bringing people together with her energy and warmth. She had a great sense of humor and was always joking, making those around her laugh even during difficult times. She had a giving heart and was always willing to help others; even when they didn’t deserve it.

She cherished simple joys, including sharing a good beer and spending time with family and friends. Above all, Franceli was the heart of her family. She was lovingly known as “Ma” to her grandchildren, a name that reflected the deep love, care, and comfort she gave so freely.

Franceli was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her loving children: Ana Caren; Marilu; Diana; Alex Jordon; Aleyah; and Mariela. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: David and Liam; Christian, Sophia, and Naomi; and Luis and Amando Jr., along with many extended family members and friends who will continue to honor her memory.

Franceli’s legacy is one of love, laughter, strength, and selflessness. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the blessing of knowing her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Noon on Friday, April 10, 2026 at St. Rocco Parish, 313 Sunny Dell Road Avondale, PA 19311, where visitation will begin at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery, 6001 Kirkwood Highway Wilmington, DE 19808.

Francisca “Franceli” Mercado Dominguez, de 53 años, falleció en paz el 5 de abril de 2026. Nacida el 6 de febrero de 1972 en Toluca, México, llevó consigo sus raíces, su cultura y su calidez a dondequiera que iba.

Franceli dedicó 26 años de su vida trabajando como empleada de limpieza, un rol que desempeñó con orgullo, fortaleza y determinación. Se retiró después de ser diagnosticada con cáncer de mama, enfrentando su enfermedad con valentía silenciosa y resiliencia.

Católica devota, Franceli encontró consuelo y comunidad en su fe, asistiendo a St. Angels y St. Rocco’s. Su vida estuvo guiada por la bondad, la generosidad y un profundo amor por los demás.

Franceli era conocida por su espíritu vibrante. Amaba la música, el baile–especialmente las polkas tradicionales mexicanas–y la cocina, reuniendo a las personas a su alrededor con su energía y calidez. Tenía un gran sentido del humor y siempre estaba bromeando, haciendo reír a quienes la rodeaban incluso en los momentos difíciles. Tenía un corazón generoso y siempre estaba dispuesta a ayudar a los demás, incluso cuando no lo merecían.

Disfrutaba de las cosas sencillas de la vida, como compartir una buena cerveza y pasar tiempo con su familia y amigos. Sobre todo, Franceli era el corazón de su familia. Era cariñosamente conocida como “Ma” por sus nietos, un nombre que reflejaba el profundo amor, cuidado y consuelo que daba tan libremente.

Franceli fue precedida en la muerte por sus padres. Le sobreviven sus amados hijos: Ana Caren; Marilu; Diana; Alex Jordon; Aleyah; y Mariela. También deja a sus queridos nietos: David y Liam; Christian, Sophia y Naomi; y Luis y Amando Jr., junto con muchos familiares y amigos extendidos que continuarán honrando su memoria.

El legado de Franceli es de amor, risa, fortaleza y altruismo. Será profundamente extrañada y siempre recordada por todos aquellos que tuvieron la bendición de conocerla.

La Misa de Funeral de Cristián se celebrará al mediodía del viernes 10 de abril de 2026 en la parroquia de St. Rocco, 313 Sunny Dell Road Avondale, PA 19311, donde comenzarán las visitas a las 11:00 de la mañana. El entierro tendrá lugar en el cementerio All Saints, 6001 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE, 19808.
