Eva Marie Hughes

Eva Marie Hughes, age 57, of Wilmington, passed away on Sunday June 8, 2025. 

Eva was an Esthetician for many years and also worked as a bartender. She enjoyed attending concerts, listening to music, antique shopping and enjoyed events with family and friends. 

Eva is preceded in death by her parents, Josephine and Harry Hughes Sr., and her life partner, Hugo “Fred” Bourdon, III. 

Survivors include her siblings, Dareen Hughes, Kevin Hughes, Vito Hughes (Leigh), Lynda Brown (Tim), Danny Hughes, Dominic Hughes (Lisa), Harry Hughes Jr. (Deb) and Arthur Hughes (Angie); eleven nieces and nephews; five great nieces and nephews; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. 

Services will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, June 16, 2025 at Nichols - Gilmore Funeral Home, 212 East Justis Street Newport, DE 19804, where visitation will begin at 12:30pm. Burial will be private.
