Dorothy Mae Jones

Dorothy Mae Jones, age 91, of Wilmington, Delaware, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2026

Dorothy was a lifelong resident of Wilmington, Delaware where she was a 1952 graduate of H. C. Conrad High School and Goldy Beacom College. She worked at Hercules and Desco Plumbing.

Dorothy was a long term member of Peniel UMC where she had numerous positions including singing in the choir and member of UMW.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her brother, Edgar Jones and sister, Barbara Christeson.

Dorothy is survived by her twin sister, Patricia Jones; brother, David Jones (Kathleen) and nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Peniel United Methodist Church, 115 E. Market Street, Newport, Delaware 19804, where visitation will begin at 10:00 AM. Burial will be private.
