Diana Louise McClure, age 57, of Newark, died peacefully on Wednesday, November 30, 2016, following a three-and-a half-year battle with breast cancer.
Diana was one of Jehovah's Witnesses and attended the Iron Hill congregation. She found absolute joy in worshiping her God and teaching others about the Bible. Diana enjoyed gardening, dancing, cooking, and spending time with her friends and family. She loved being a mother and grandmother. She cared deeply about the needs of others and lifted the spirits of everyone around her with her signature smile.
Diana is survived by her husband of 38 years, Brian McClure of Brian's Painting and Paperhanging who has been a Newark area painter for 30 years; daughters, Renee Dorsey, Laura Beth McClure, Alyson Hidalgo, and Amy Wilson; grandchildren, Parker and June Dorsey and Valente Hidalgo; her parents, Louis and Laura Shorback; sister, Patricia Shorback; brother, Mark Shorback; and numerous other loving family members.
A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, December 17 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1103 Milltown Road, Wilmington, Delaware 19808. Burial will be private.
