Deloris Slingwine

Deloris A. Slingwine, age 56 of Wilmington, DE passed unexpectedly on Thursday, September 18, 2014.

Deloris is the daughter of Delton L. Slingwine and Callie V. Reader. She enjoyed going camping, fishing and local parks. Deloris loved drawing, bird watching and her three Shih Tzu dogs. She made jewelry and enjoyed cooking as well as time spent with family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by a son, Vincent G. Slingwine; two grandsons, Shane and Nicholas; her brother, Richard A. Slingwine, Sr, (Christine); her step mother, Judith Slingwine; nieces, Jessica Perry (Leonard) and Destiny Slingwine; her nephew, Richard A. Slingwine, Jr. (Marie); her great nieces and nephews, Anthony, Savannah, Nathan, Ava and Tyler; her boyfriend, Joe Mercado.

A Celebration of Deloris' Life will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at NICHOLS-GILMORE FUNERAL HOME, 212 East Justis Street, Newport, De where a gathering of family and friends will be held one hour prior from 6 pm to 7pm.
