Daniel Robert "Buck" Shuford

Daniel Robert “Buck” Shuford, age 27, of Wilmington, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2026.

Buck graduated from the Sarah Pyle Academy in 2020. He worked as the Manager of the Papa Johns in Peoples Plaza for several years.

Buck was very artistic. He enjoyed spending time with his family and loved animals, especially his dog Juju.

Buck is preceded in death by his grandmothers, Victoria Bennett and Glenda Allen; uncles, Christopher Blanchfield, Andy Shuford and Richard Baker; aunt, Donna Baker; and his best friend, Annalisa Lauren Laakko, who passed away in 2022. 

Survivors include his parents, Lynn and Daniel Brinsfield, and father, Daniel Lee Shuford; siblings, Victoria Shuford, Robert Wagner, Jade Brinsfield (Marcus Insley), Barbara Brinsfield (Mike Guiles) Justin Brinsfield and Destiny Brinsfield (Jacob D’Alessio); his grandfathers, Robert Bennet and Daniel Lee Shuford Sr.; and many nieces, nephews and other extended family.
