Clifton Russell

A beloved husband and father, passed away at his home in Newport, Friday, May 27, 2011, with his loving family by his side.

Russ was a self-employed Master Carpenter and Woodworker.He was a 50 year member of Calvary Presbyterian Church.

Russ was preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy Hall and a granddaughter, Missy Russell. He is survived by his best friend and wife of 49 years, Sharry; his sons, Cliff(Yvonne), Clifton, IV(Marty), James and Scott(Cindy);13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11a.m., Thursday, June 2nd at Nichols-Gilmore Funeral Home, 212 E. Justis St., Newport, where visitation will begin at 10a.m. Burial will follow in St. James Episcopal Church Cemetery in Newport.
