Charles Boyer
1934-2016
Charles Boyer, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on November 22, 2016. Charles left this world peacefully at the age of 82.
His parents, Norman and Francis Boyer, his brothers, Norman, Thomas, James, John, and Richard and sisters, Alice Powell, Ann Laughlin and Helen Ievoli, and brother in laws Gorden Powell and Patrick Naughten preceded Charles in death.
Charles is survived by wife Veda Boyer, daughters, Shirley A Reynolds (Willard), Patricia E. Twardus (Daniel), Sharon M. Walter (James), sons, Charles R, John T. (Beth), Frank J. (Lucinda), Norman H. (Dana). Also by 33 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren, sister, Francis Naughten, brother in law, Anthony Ievoli, sister in laws, Connie Boyer, Eileen Boyer, Carol Boyer along with many nieces and nephews.
Charles was born and raised in the Wilmington area, graduated A. I. Dupont High School in 1952, married Veda Andrews in 1954. Worked as a Master Electrician until retiring in 1982 from injuries. Charles was an avid history buff, and loved to take the kids and grandchildren to local historic sites, had a great passion for gardening of any type. Also a passion for food, be it preparing or eating, he loved both. Looked forward to family outings and get togethers, had a great sense of humor and loved practical jokes.
Charles will be missed by many family and friends. Please join the family in a celebration of his life on December 2, 2016.
