Bonita “Ree” Mitchem, age 63, of Wilmington, went to be with her family on Saturday, October 11, 2025.
Bonita was preceded in death by her daughter, Yvette Gray in March 2001.
She is survived by her daughter, Nicole Gray of Wilmington; granddaughter, Destiny Gray; her sisters, Stephanie Distel and Tammy Crandall; her aunt, Diana Torres; uncle, John Jones; cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be on Monday, October 20 at 12 noon at Nichols-Gilmore Funeral Home, 212 E. Justis St., Newport, where visitation will begin at 11 am. Burial will follow at Gracelawn Memorial Park.
Contributions in Bonita’s memory may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 38105.
