Barbara Foreman

Barbara L. Foreman, 83, of Wilmington passed peacefully in the arms of her wife Charlotte on August 11th, 2026. Her passing comes after a long and brave fight with metastatic cancer.

Born in July in Newport, Barbara was a lifelong resident of Delaware. As a young woman, Barbara excelled in softball, joining a semiprofessional team. As an adult, she put her love of cars to good use, dedicating almost 30 years to the Chrystler Corporation. After retirement, Barb enjoyed bowling and playing cards with friends. She was a lifelong member of the Peniel Methodist Church in Newport, where she held many roles such as chairman of the administrative board and member of the board of trustees.

An avid animal lover, Barb spent the last 11 years with her adoring wife Charlotte Mullikin-Foreman and their beloved cats and dogs. They enjoyed many vacations, traveling to the Delaware Beaches, Outer Banks, and Niagara Falls. Barbara always enjoyed exploring the natural beauty and history of Delaware and the surrounding areas.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy and Joseph Foreman. She leaves behind her loving wife Charlotte, their daughter Samantha (Casson) and son-in-law Kyle (Casson).

Services for Barbara will be held on Saturday, September 19th, 2026, at Peniel Methodist Church, 115 E Market St, Newport, DE 19804. Viewing will be held at 11am with a memorial service to follow immediately after, at 12 noon.
