Almena May Faux, 65, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully in the presence of her family on Saturday, October 11, 2025 after a ten year battle with breast cancer.
Almena was a devoted wife and mother. Before she was a nationally-recognized senior executive, she was a stay-at-home mother. She was a Cub and Boy Scout leader, coached cross country, and track and field. Almena was a constant volunteer for school PTAs, and mentored numerous students, and young adults, while volunteering at many other organizations. She was an avid sports fan, especially the Phillies and Penn State (WE ARE).
Almena was preceded in death by her father Stanley Faux.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Jim Dugan, her children: Tyler Faux-Dugan (Aimée) , Shane Faux-Dugan, Dustin Faux-Dugan (Melissa Glass), Kelsey Faux-Dugan (Ryan Larsen), and Logan Faux-Dugan, PhD (Kayla McCloskey); mother Betty Faux, sister Lisa Faux, and grandchildren Levi, Hunter, and Brooks Faux-Dugan, and Avery May Larsen due January, 2026.
Memorial service will be at Calvary Presbyterian Church, 701 S Maryland Ave, Wilmington, DE 19804 on Saturday, October 18th at 1pm. Visitation will begin at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions to Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition (Debreastcancer.org).
