Obituary for Tommy White
Tommy W. “Popeye” White, age 64, of Wilmington, formerly of Clearwater, FL, went home to be with his son on Friday, March 17, 2023.
Tommy attended Conrad High School and graduated from Wilmington High School in 1976. He worked as a self employed dry waller and painter.
Tommy enjoyed shooting pool. He liked surprising children with gifts and coins and loved helping others, especially the elderly.
Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, Alma Marie and Clarence P. White; son, David (Tom-Tom) Campbell); sister, Jeannette I Conner; brother, Henry J. White; and brother-in-law, MSGT Jerry L. Doss SR.
Tommy is survived by his wife of 21 years, Carol Ann Taylor-White and her daughter, Colleen Randow; mother-in-law, Ann Taylor AKA Annebell; children, Traci Robinson-McGinnis (Jester) and her husband Brian McGinnis, Amber Jean Campbell, Chante White and Thomas Ward White, II; grandchildren, Matthew Robinson, Brandon Robinson, Sean McGinnis, Brooke Robinson, Kylee McGinnis, Sophie McGinnis, Dominick Thomas and Mackenzie Campbell, Destiny Campbell, Jayden Stewart, Essence Stewart, Dominic Decino, Alycia Garcia and Adam Garcia JR, Armani Rivera-Randow and Celine Gonzalez-Randow; 2 great grandchildren; siblings, Lottie Jean Doss, Elizabeth M & Frank Darwicki SR, Annette Julia Welch, Clarence P White Jr., Linda F & Robert J Cornacchia, and Joanne & Thomas Hryckewycz and his brother-in-law, Ronald Conner.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Nichols-Gilmore Funeral Home, 212 East Justis Street Newport, DE 19804 where visitation will begin at 12 noon.
Contributions can be made to assist with the funeral expenses.
