Newark - Age 85, of Newark, passed away on Thursday, November 18, 2021.
Marion was the daughter of the late Preston and Mildred Ogbin. She graduated from Salem High School and Goldey Beacom College. She retired from the DuPont Company, Chestnut Run Location after 24 years of service.
Marion was a member of Kingswood UMC, Red Hat Society, Sociable Singles, Newark Senior Center and the Newark New Century club. She also volunteered at the Blood Bank of Delaware.
Marion was preceded in death by her husband, Keene Hagerty Jr and her son, Robert Hagerty. Survivors include her sisters, Dorothy McKelvey of Wilmington and Ann Cannon (Charles) of Bear; nieces, Lori Bacon (Bruce), Danielle and Jack of Marriottsville, MD; Jennifer Shimp and Lilee of Quinton, NJ and nephews, Eric Shimp (Jessica), Jeremiah and Michael of Quinton, NJ.
Funeral services will be at 11 am on Wednesday, December 8 at NICHOLS-GILMORE FUNERAL HOME, 212 E. Justis St., Newport where visitation will begin at 10am. Burial will follow at St. James Church Cemetery, Newport.
