Robert Michael Keating, “Mike”, of Hockessin, Delaware, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, with his wife and daughter by his side. Mike was born in 1953, to Joseph Robert Keating and Eloise Miller Keating of Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Alexis I. du Pont High School in Wilmington, Delaware in 1971 and was a lifetime member of the Hockessin Fire Company.

Beginning in high school, Mike became involved in the local music scene, which eventually led to his 30-year touring career as a FOH Sound Engineer for Clair Global (Lititz, PA). Most notably, Mike toured with Sting, The Police, Bruce Springsteen, Cher, Amy Grant, and Shakira, though there were many more throughout the years.

Mike’s epic career took him all over the world, but his favorite place to be was home with his wife of thirty-two years, Judy Walters Keating, his daughter, Kristi Keating, and many beloved dogs over the years. In his time off the road, he loved spending time with family, catching up with old friends, and cruising around town in his classic Ford Mustangs.

Mike was preceded in death by both of his parents, and is survived by his wife, daughter, and many cousins. Mike had a big personality, an even bigger heart, and is already so dearly missed by many.
