Obituary for Michael E. Huff
It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of Michael Eugene Huff on Friday, August 18, 2023. Mike was 62 years old and resided in Newark.
Mike was a heavy machine mechanic after graduating Glasgow High School in 1978. He loved his job and was a hard working man. He was a member of the Delaware Saengerbund where he had many friends and cherished his trips to Marathon and Key West. He always had a smile on his face and lit up the room. If you needed a hand Mike was always there to help. He will be greatly missed by many.
Mike enjoyed riding his Harley, going to the beach, hunting, but most of all enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Wiegman; son, Michael P. Huff; parents, Paul and Linda Huff; brother, Larry Huff; sisters, Barbara Greene and Belinda McClain; grandchildren, Aubrey, Troy, Tessa, and Winnie Wiegman; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the ICU and Accent Care Hospice at Christiana Care Hospital for their wonderful care.
Services for Mike will be held at Noon on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at Nichols - Gilmore Funeral Home, 212 East Justis Street Newport, DE 19804, where visitation will begin at 11 AM. Burial will be private.
