Mary Catherine Niblett, age 84, of Wilmington, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2019
.
Mary graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1953. After graduating, she worked at DuPont where she met her husband. She then worked as a school bus driver during the 70’s and then at various banks, starting with the Colonial National which evolved to Bank of America. She retried after 30 years in the early 2000’s. Mary was a member of Sacred Heart Oratory. Mary enjoyed Delaware Park and Atlantic City.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years in 1997, Francis O. Niblett, Sr. brother, James McGarrity and her sister in law, Emma McGarrity.

Survivors include her children, Francis O. Niblett, Jr (Donna Downes) and Barbara Niblett-Russum (James); her brothers, Michael McGarrity (Mary), Edward McGarrity, and Francis McGarrity (Diane); and her grandchildren, Karen Russum (Eric) and James Russum, Jr, Skyler Russum, Hunter Russum, Savanah Fox, and Landon Fox.

Visitation will be from 6-8pm on Monday, April 22 at NICHOLS-GILMORE FUNERAL HOME, 212 E. Justis St. Newport, DE 19804.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, April 23 at NICHOLS-GILMORE FUNERAL HOME, 212 E. Justis St. Newport, DE 19804 where visitation will begin at 10 am. Burial will follow at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mary’s memory may be made to Nichols-Gilmore Funeral Home to assist with the funeral expenses.
