To Marquita's family, in particular, Puddin; I'm so so so sorry to read of the loss of your sister. My name is Darnell Privott, you and Marquita and your mom lived across the hall from us at Monroe Park in Greenville Delaware. It was me, my two younger brothers, Gordon and Alex, and my mom, at 114 Thomas Drive, you may be too young to remember as you guys didn't live there for long. But I remember you both fondly; I remember Marquita had a crush on me and my youngest brother had a crush on you. there were many summer days we all sat in the hallway of our building talking and laughing. I also remember the kids being mean to Marquita and how bad I felt for her and became her friend after that. I don't know what made me look her up recently, I think I was just on facebook and looking for old friends from childhood. I first saw her when she was still with us, the photo of her in what looked like a bedroom, I think she was in a wheelchair, I thought life was not always rosey to Marquita but she seemed happy in her few facebook posts. Now I regret not reaching out sooner, I kept putting it off not realizing she may have been seriously ill. I feel sad that I never got to reconnect with her. And to read that she lost her children is particularly heartbreaking to me. I hope you are doing well Puddin, and all of your family. I wish I had pics of all of us from back then in the mid-late 70s when we all lived in Monroe Park but I don't but if you ever read this message, please look me up on facebook under Dillon Merritt; I'd love to meet up and hopefully you have some photos from Marquitas life you can share, I'd love to see them. Until then, please take care, I'm not far, I'm in Maryland now. Peace to you and your family.
