Obituary for Luci C. Cappelle Deputy
Luci C. Cappelle Deputy, age 76, of Wilmington, DE, formerly of Wildwood, NJ, went to be with the Lord on Easter Sunday morning, March 31, 2024.
Luci graduated from Wildwood Catholic High School and then went on the earn her Nursing Degree. She was a caring Operating Room Nurse at St. Francis Hospital in Wilmington for over 30 years before she retired.
Luci loved cooking, baking cookies, planting flowers, feeding her birds, going to the dog park, and spending time at her 2nd home in Wildwood.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Molly Cappelle, and her sister, Joie Cappelle.
Survivors included her husband of 26 years, Ronald Deputy; son, D. Samuel "Tate" Chorlton (Pamela); siblings, Paul Cappelle (Nora), Frannie Roposh (Charles) and Frankie Cappelle (Jill); grandchildren, Isabella Keith, Emma Chorlton and Ethan Chorlton.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 1:30 PM on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, Ninth and DuPont Streets Wilmington, DE 19805, where visitation will begin at 12:30 PM. A repast will follow, in the St. Anthony's Ballad Room cafeteria.
In lieu of flowers Luci would want you to instead plant a flower in your yard or window sill, to add one more tiny splash of color to your day, in memory of her.
