Leonard Pressley also known as Len, Son of the late Harry Pressey and Mary Ann Flim-Pressey, departed this life on April 5, 2020.

He was born on October 11, 1960 in Wilmington, Delaware.

Leonard was a proud graduate of Wilmington High School in Wilmington, Delaware. Upon graduating, he worked at the Skating Club as an ice Ice Resurfacer and loved to bring his family to skate for free.

Leonard’s favorite hobbies were electronics & wiring. He could put together any and everything electronical and make it work. Leonard’s second favorite hobby was cooking for his friends and family. He got his passion for cooking from his Dad, Harry and the love of food from his Mom, Mary. Leonard was known by his sisters as the famous picture stealer. He would somehow get photos of family members, which would later show-up in his very own picture collection.

He also enjoyed the following things in life: Favorite football teams- Steelers and the Eagles. His favorite comedian was Mike Epps. He loved the movies- Daddy’s Little Girl, White Chicks, A Thin Line Between Love & Hate, Sanford & Son, The Walking Dead and Thunder Cat. I point this out, because of Len’s love for movies. He would invite his best friend Ulysses Harrell over to watch movies, eat, argue and fuss-leaving each other every time saying- “ See you tomorrow,” as if nothing happened.

Leonard had favorite books, most notable, The New King James Bible, Green Eggs and Ham and finally Curious George. His love of music consists of various artist, but his favorite artist is, The O’Jay’s.

Leonard was preceded in death by his father, Harry Pressey, Sr., Mary Ann Pressey-Flim, brother Leon and sisters Eartha Kindard and Annette Pressey.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories; (3)brothers Jimmy Harrison(Linda) of Wilmington, DE., Ulysses Harrison( Louise) of Boston, MA. and Harry Emmitt Pressey, Jr. (6) sisters Ann Betz, Elizabeth Spencer, Marie Pressey, Lily Dollard, Patricia Pressey and Delores Singleton(David), all of Wilmington. He leaves two special nieces, Da-shield Pressey and her daughter Mahogany Hammond, that he would mention quite often. His great nieces Paris, Autumn Singleton and Aspen Pressey, He leaves his 3 special cousins, Ronnie James, Lee Hallmon, Ronald Kinard, and (predeceased)Hurbert Kinard, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and family.
