Obituary for Kevin E Hart

Print
Kevin E. Hart, age 63, of Wilmington DE, passed away suddenly at home on September 3, 2020. Kevin was born in Flat Rock Michigan.

He was the son of the late Earl and Elva (Carter) Hart. Kevin proudly served in the US Army from 1975-1978. He retired from the University of Delaware’s Institute of Energy Conversion, where he worked as a Senior Lab Technician.

He was an avid Eagles fan and loved spending time with his family and friends. Kevin learned to play guitar at very young age. Throughout his adult life, Kevin performed with several local bands. He could be seen either singing and playing guitar on stage with his friends or behind a sound board engineering the best sound for bands. Kevin’s voice had a unique tone which not only allowed him to sing like Bob Seger but to also bellow out a “HO HO HO” which made children smile and wonder.

He is survived by his wife of 29 years Katherine (Vitalo)
Hart; his son Kyle; his brother Keith of Flat Rock Michigan; father and mother-in-law John and MaryAnn Vitalo; brother-in-law John Vitalo Jr; sister-in-law Deborah Neidlein (Edward); nieces Erica, Alex, Kristin and Dawn; nephews Kaylen and Kellie and great nieces Avianna and Monica.

There will be a public viewing held on Thursday September 10, 2020, from 10:00-12:00pm at Nichols-Gilmore Funeral Home 212 East Justis Street Wilmington De 19804 followed by Military Honors. Due to Covid 19, a celebration of Kevin’s life will be held at a future date.
