Obituary for John S. Stetter
John S. Stetter, age 71, of Wilmington, passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022.
John was a 1969 graduate of Brown Tech High School. He worked most of his years managing at the Charcoal Pits and in his final years before retirement worked at Jackson Marina in North East, Maryland. Most knew him there as "The Mayor". John was an avid boater and loved the water. In his spare time he enjoyed watching sports, old classic movies and The Lawrence Welk Show every Saturday night.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Doris Stetter.
Survivors include his wife of almost 44 years, Adaline Stetter; daughters, Angela Connell (Patrick), Mary Stetter, Stephanie Martin, and Sarah Stetter; grandchildren, Justin, Brianna, Joshua, Alexis, Shane, Kyle, Adaline and Jayden Stetter, Ryleigh and Chase Connell and Matthew Edler; great granddaughter, Mackenzie Rose Stetter; brother, Charles Stetter; niece, Carla Lenderman; nephew Andrew Stetter; the beloved dog, Bella as well as other extended family and friends.
Funeral Services will be at 1 pm on Saturday, February 5 at NICHOLS-GILMORE FUNERAL HOME, 212 E. Justis St. Wilmington, Delaware 19804 where visitation will begin at 12 noon. Burial will be private.
