Rich was born in Chester and went to Chester-Upland School District until he joined the Navy. After the Navy he was a Journeyman Plumber for a while until he started at Greif Brothers.

Rich loved everything to do with the water and outdoors, whether it be boating, hunting, fishing, tinkering in his garage, or riding his Harley. He spent his free time assistant coaching his sons little league teams. Every spring and summer you could always find him out in his vegetable garden planting and tending to the crops. Rich enjoyed camping in his retirement, as long as there was a bed, a bathroom, a hot shower, and fully stocked kitchen. He loved spending time with friends and family. He will be greatly missed!
