Obituary for Joel Fisher
Joel Fisher, 70, of Bear, Delaware and formerly of Bensalem, Pennsylvania, peacefully passed on to eternal rest on Saturday, January 28, 2023.
Joel was born in June of 1952, in Philadelphia to the late Julius and Betty Fisher. He was a graduate of the Overbrook High School class of 1970, where he met and courted Marie Sage. On May 8, 1970, Joel and Marie were married, raised four children, and celebrated 52 beautiful years together. Joel was a truck driver by trade and was in the industry until his retirement in 2017.
In his spare time Joel enjoyed spending time fishing with his sons and grandchildren as well as cheering on his favorite Philadelphia sports teams. He was the happiest when spending time at Resorts Campground in New Jersey or on the beach in Sea Isle City. Joel was also quick-witted and never missed a moment to share in the latest family or neighborhood gossip.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Fisher; sons Scott Fisher (Kelly) of Bensalem and JR Fisher (Rhonda) of Bear; grandchildren Jordyn, Jarrett, Tyler, Josalynn, Dylan, Amie and Jeffrey; and great granddaughter Arabella.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Amie Marie, and sons John Christopher and Jeffrey Joel.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a future date.
