Message to the Family: Joe and I became friends when we were teenagers, living in beautiful Girardville PA, later lovingly called gun town...LOL. Joe was living with his grandmother at the time, and we just started to hang out, quickly becoming really good friends. We spent that first summer, and thereafter, being the best of friends, always playing basketball and joking around. Every time I hear songs from that time, I think of him. There are so many songs that remind me of Joe and our time with friends. We lost touch a few times over the last few decades but always ended up finding each other again and reconnecting/reminiscing about all our fun times, which were too numerous to single out. I can’t believe he’s gone, he will always live in my memories, and was truly my buddy. I’m so very sorry for everyone’s loss, he was as large as life. I wish we had more time to spend together. Message to the Family: You always think you have time to reconnect with old friends....you went too soon Joe...couldn’t think of a better person to have hung with in my twenties! We had so much fun and laughed so much. You were a wonderful friend and I am grateful to have known you! I will think of you often and miss you always!
