Obituary for Joan Stadelman-Walker
Joan Stadelman-Walker, age 87, of Wilmington, went to be with Jesus on Saturday, November 11, 2023.
Joan worked as a crossing guard and teacher's aide at Richardson Park Elementary and Junior High School from 1966 to 1972 and as an accountant for the State of Delaware Court of Common Pleas. Joan was an active member of the Richardson Park United Methodist Church where she sang with the Choir since 1966 and served in various committee activities.
Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Charles V. Stadelman; her husband, William M. Walker; her sisters, Josephine Justice and Frances A. Reynolds; brothers, John E. Ludwig, Frank Ludwig and her daughter-in-law, Paulette Miller.
Survivors include, her children, Stephen R. Miller, Katherine Yarrusso, Michael D. Miller, Keith Macartney and Pete West; step daughters, Veronica Benson and Deborah Walker-Frick; siblings, Connie Taylor and Rege Ludwig, 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11:00AM on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Richardson Park United Methodist Church, 11 N. Maryland Ave, Wilmington, DE 19804, where friends may visit starting at 10:00 AM. Burial will be private.
