James W. Nelson, age 82, of New Castle, DE passed away on Monday, November 25, 2019.

James was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Christine Nelson; daughter, Joyce Cassell and son, James S. Nelson “Booter”

Survivors include his children, Patricia Thatcher, Janet Adamczak, Carol Keener, Lena Overley, Eva Harting, William (Billy) Wilde, Michael Babiarz, Tina Nelson, Teddie Nelson, and Terrie Williamson and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 12 noon on Thursday, December 5 at NICHOLS-GILMORE FUNERAL HOME, 212 E. Justis St. Newport, DE 19804 where visitation will begin at 11 am. Burial will follow at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Bear.
