Newport - Harry, age 87, of Newport, passed away on Friday, April 9, 2021.
Harry served in the Navy during the Korean War. He worked at Atlantic Aviation for over 30 years before retiring. Harry was extremely devoted to his family but also enjoy hunting, fishing and crabbing.
Harry was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Shirley Freeman in 2020.
Survivors include his children, Sherry Freeman, Brenda Freeman, Dean Freeman, Lisa Marshall (Peter), Steven Freeman (Jennifer), and Jeffrey Freeman (Stephen); grandchildren, Erik Freeman, Jamie Vork, and Peter and Patrick Marshall; great grandchildren, Austin and Julian; and his sisters, Helen, Julie, Sue and Barbara.
Funeral Services will be at 1 pm on Saturday, April 17 at NICHOLS-GILMORE FUNERAL HOME, 212 E. Justis St. Newport, DE 19804 where visitation will begin at 12 noon. Burial will be private at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Masks and distancing are required along with a capacity limit.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Harry's memory may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children.
