Obituary for George C. Leptien
George C. Leptien, age 84, of Wilmington, formerly of Daretown, NJ, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 1, 2022.
George worked at Anchor Glass for over 30 years. He was a former member of the Moose Lodge.
George was an avid bowler. he enjoyed fishing and country line dancing.
George is preceded in death by his previous wife Mary A. Leptien who passed away in 1995; and his sister Mary.
Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Dee; daughter, Crystal Leptien (Kenneth Johnson); son, Troy Leptien (Michelle); daughter, Lisha Messick; step-daughter Dawn Selhorst (Erich); step-son David Riddell (Amy); brother, Albert Leptien (Sandy); sisters Joanne Foster and Elva Mae Smith; and nine grandchildren, Mackenzie Ann Crist, Dakota Johnson, Kaymaurri Johnson, Jordan Eldreth, Mackenzi Selhorst, Nicholas Riddell, Abbygayle Riddell, Mark Messick, Kody Leptien.
Services will be held at Noon on Friday, December 9, 2022, at Nichols – Gilmore Funeral Home, 212 East Justis Street Newport, DE 19804, where visitation will begin at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N Dupont Highway New Castle, DE 19720.
